The Great Biscuit Blackout
The lights go out right before snack time. Can Flower, Marshmallow, and Red save the biscuits?
It was almost snack time at Boss Biscuit HQ.
Flower lined up the biscuits.
Marshmallow set out the little plates.
Everything was perfect.
Then — click.
The lights went out.
The whole HQ went dark.
“Who turned off the snacks?” gasped Marshmallow.
Flower stood very still.
A good boss does not panic in the dark.
A good boss finds the switch.
“Flashlights,” she said. “Now.”
Down the hall came a clatter and a clank.
It was Red, the gadget brain, wearing a hat covered in tiny blinking lights.
“Did somebody say... power problem?”
Red held up a wobbly machine with buttons and wires.
“Behold! The Snack-Light 3000! It makes light AND warms biscuits!”
“Does it work?” asked Flower.
“...Mostly,” said Red.
Flower sniffed.
She followed a cord along the floor.
Past the jars.
Around the corner.
“The trail leads to the closet,” she whispered.
Inside the closet sat a fat, happy mouse.
Beside him was a chewed-through wire.
“Aha!” barked Flower. “Caught nibble-pawed!”
The mouse squeaked.
“I was only looking for crumbs! The wire was in the way!”
Flower frowned.
Marshmallow peeked.
Red took notes.
“Red,” said Flower, “can you fix it?”
Red grinned.
“Boss, I was born to fix it.”
Snip. Twist. Tape.
Red pushed the big red button.
The Snack-Light 3000 buzzed... popped... and BURST into light!
The whole HQ glowed.
And the biscuits?
Toasty warm.
Flower gave a neat little nod.
“Snack time is saved.”
Even the mouse got one. A small one.
That night, HQ glowed warm and bright.
Flower had a feeling.
With a sidekick, a gadget genius, and the occasional hungry mouse, no dark night could ever close the shop.
Not on her watch.
